With so many athletes in the Tampa Bay area who love to run, a morning run in beautiful St. Petersburg seems the perfect way for us to celebrate and encourage wellness while raising funds for a worthy cause.

Why Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital?
Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital provides state-of-the-art pediatric care for children and families. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the center is focused upon all facets of children's health: treatment, research, education, and advocacy.
The health of children in our community is of great importance to all of our race volunteers and committee members, many of whom are parents themselves and each with a unique reason to get involved. Race co-founder and committee member Brian Powers was inspired to establish this race to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families whose lives may be touched by tragic illness. It is a cause that is close to his heart as Brian and his wife have suffered the loss of a child. He shared his personal story with us through a letter written to his son, Dear Carson.
