Largo, FL (December 15, 2014) – Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Running for All Children 5k, 10k, and 1 Mile Fun Run. Last year’s inaugural race was an instant hit with runners and walkers, selling out quickly. The 2015 event will be held on Saturday, May 9th, beginning and ending at the Safety Harbor Marina. Participants can register online at www.racersignup.com/run-for-all-children/register. The registration fee is $30 for the chip-timed 5K or 10k, and $20 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. The event is open to participants of all fitness levels.
“We encourage everyone to join us, no matter where they are in their athletic abilities”, said Race Director Brian Powers. “The race is really more about promoting fitness, raising funds for a good cause, and enjoying a day outdoors with our friends and families.”
The Mosaic Company is returning as Title Sponsor of the event and proceeds will be donated to All Children’s Hospital Guild Seminole/Largo Branch. The 10k is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM and the 5k at 7:20 AM, with awards given to the top male and female finishers. The 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 9:00 AM. About Running for All Children
Running for All Children is a race event co-hosted by the BCH Foundation and the All Children’s Hospital Guild, 501(c)(3) organization(s), to benefit All Children’s Hospital Foundation. The inaugural race was held in 2014, born from race founder Brian Powers’ desire to make a difference in the lives of children and their families after experiencing firsthand the impact offered by the dedicated staff and volunteers of the neonatal intensive care unit.
